Ross was the administrative capital of Andaman Islands during British era. It houses ruins of church, bakery, swimming pool and chief commissioner’s bungalow. Today Ross Island is maintained by Indian Navy and one can find deers running around everywhere in Ross. One should visit Ross Island if he plans to stay in Port Blair.

Very near to Junglighat jetty one can witness the gallows where Sher Ali was hanged for killing the then viceroy of India Lord Mayo. It also houses the ruins of jail build before cellular jail and was abandoned after cellular jail was made. Regular boats sail between Port Blair and Viper Island.

Cellular jail took 12 years to build from 1896 to 1908. Also known as the jail of Kalapani shows the suffering of our freedom fighters. Museum in jail displays the unknown history of islands. The popular light and sound show is organised daily in cellular jail.

It was the hill stations for British officials before independence. It is the second highest peak of Andaman Islands. One can have spectacular view of nearby islands like Ross Island, North Bay Island, Havelock Island, Neil Island while on the top.

Diglipur is the northern most part of Andaman Islands around 350 kms from Port Blair. One can reach Diglipur either by roadways or by seaways. Some of the major attractions of Diglipur are Ross n smith, kalipur beach and one can do trekking to “saddle peak” Which is the highest peak of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
